Once the builder is approaching completion of the project/works, we can carry out an inspection of the works and produce a snag list of defects. We can then revisit once the builder says all defects have been completed to check all works are complete to a satisfactory standard.

We can also support you if you see something you are unhappy with, using industry standards confirm if the issue is correct and provide guidance on what is required to rectify the fault.

• Assist with Building Control Sign-off

We can coordinate the sign-off of the works and final inspection with building control. Work with the builder to closeout any issues they raise in-order to obtain the completion certificate.

If the builder has not arranged the correct stage inspections with the building inspector, it can cause issues when the requesting the completion certificate resulting in additional works, and cost.

We can review all paperwork, user guides and guarantees provided by the builder to ensure they have provided everything needed to complete a handover pack.

We can pull all the information together and make a handover pack which includes information on maintenance or replacement of materials and products provided by the builder.

This is important for when something stops working or you need to replace a product or materials.

Builders will often neglect this when completing the works which could leave you in an awkward situation months or years down the line as you don’t have the information required and the builder has no interest in helping you.
